Scrambling to Think of Ideas!
What is my writing process? Normally when given an essay to write, I normally think of ideas right away and start writing them down. Majority of the time I prefer to use a bubble map to think of ideas to put in my essay. The day I am assigned my essay, I start it and try to finish most of it. The day it is assigned is like the only day I will work on it til it's due and than I try to rush and finish it. I intend to procrastinate alot, because I have so much to do and I say I will do something, but I don't. When writing an essay I also like to use a flow map so that all I basically have to do is rewrite it in paragraph form. When thinking of what to write about it, it takes me time. It's easier for me to be given a topic than for me to choose a topic because sometimes so many things hit my mind. And sometimes I can think of nothing. I prefer it to be quiet when I'm writing an essay. Sometimes I can listen to music when writing, but it just depends what mood I'm in. When I hear any little noise I get frustrated and I just stop writing. Sometimes I also stop myself from writing to though because when I know I have homework to do, i still intend to talk a lot to my family surrounding me. Me talking also affects what I write, because my ideas will be completly be gone by the time I decide to go back writing. Eating snacks is also something I do frequently when trying to write an essay. My writing process consist of thinking, writing, procrastinating, starting right away but not finishing til its due, quite, music sometimes, and eating snacks.

Procastinating is scary to me. I don't procrastinate but I forget and that already scares me. Best of luck in your writing.
ReplyDeleteProcrastination affects the best of writers. I've been known to procrastinate myself. :)
ReplyDeleteHowever, at least you plan your essay with some prewriting. Working around the hustle and bustle of daily life can be a challenge, but it'll be worth it in the end.
